Pebble Beach, California
This Monterrey peninsula ranch house was built in the mid 1970s. Phase one of the project was the remodel of the kitchen and one master suite. Phase 2 of the project was renovating the remaining bedrooms, bathrooms, and the family room/office.
The main idea for the kitchen renovation was to open the kitchen to the fabulous views of Spyglass Golf Course, and to admit more natural light and openness to the kitchen. A 'chef's kitchen' was requested by the client, with plenty of workspace surfaces as well as abundant storage space. Walls were removed to incorporate the views, the kitchen ceiling was raised, skylights were added, and the circulation was opened to facilitate large groups of people and an overall feeling of openness and welcome.
Green, sustainable products were used throughout the project.
